We would like to thank everyone who made the 2009 Winter Dinner a success this year starting with the Ivaldi Family & Sunol Golf Course for their ongoing generosity to the 100 Club. As always, we appreciate the help from John & Lola Manzella, Janice Manzella Bartholomew, Carol Richardson, Lisa Ivaldi Granzella, Denise Capie, Dave Long, Jim Knudsen and Patty Goodman for checking members and beneficiaries in. The Honor Guard from the Alameda County Sheriff's Dept always does an outstanding job of starting off the evening.
Chief Ian Willis, San Leandro P.D., accepted the plaque dedicated to Leeza Davis and Dorothy Cleyman, for Ms. Cleyman's most generous donation of $235,000.00 to the Alameda County 100 Club. The plaque will be placed on a wall at the SLPD.
Beneficiaries Arianna Williams, daughter of James Williams, Jr. (OPD), and Michelle Soto Vancil , daughter of Miguel Soto (OPD), were our speakers. They did a fantastic job of conveying their thoughts about their families and being beneficiaries of the 100 Club. They were eloquent and their heartfelt words reached the hearts of everyone in attendance.
Special thanks to Bryan Richardson and Perry at Sunol Golf Course for arranging and setting up the audio visual system to show the picture of the Memorial Wall and DVD. We hope your calendars are marked for the always fun August BBQ at the Alameda County Fairgrounds…this year on Wednesday, August 5th.
